CANADA’S NEWEST DOCTOR WHO FESTIVAL

DOCTOR WHO Fandom has seen a dramatic regeneration with the past few years. The imaginative writing and strong acting combine to create enlightened storylines, where knowledge and compassion will outwit violence and indifference at every turn. With Canada’s strong British roots and hunger for creative story telling and Science Fiction, it’s no surprise that we have become a fast growing hub for everything DOCTOR WHO.

As the 50th Anniversary celebrations for this icon television show approach, the Doctor Who Society of Canada is excited to present REGENERATION - Canada’s Newest Doctor Who Festival! We invite all Whovians to come and enjoy a day of DOCTOR WHO Guests, Panels, Workshops and more!

WELCOMES BLACK SWAN COMEDY:
RULERS OF THE UNIVERSE & THE WEAKER VESSELS
WELCOMES Racheline Maltese, Dr Gillian Leitch, Aaron Gulyas, Sherry Ginn & Maura Grady
Toronto’s best comedy minds, Black Swan Comedy, featuring The Rulers of the Universe & The weaker vessels, takes on the crazy world of fan fiction from authors around the world and perform it live.

Fan fiction is what literature might look like if it were reinvented from scratch after a nuclear apocalypse by a band of brilliant pop-culture junkies trapped in a sealed bunker. They don't do it for money. That's not what it's about. The writers write it & put it up online just for the satisfaction. They're fans, but they're not silent, couchbound consumers of media. The culture talks to them, & they talk back to the culture in its own language.
